Mexican Onyx, also known as travertine, is a fine-grained variety of calcite that is formed in caves and waterfalls. Like agate, Onyx is a form of layered chalcedony, but the bands in onyx form in parallel fashion.
As this is a natural stone product, each piece is unique and variations in color and texture are normal and add to the beauty of each set.
